Maextro is an automotive company which belongs to HUAWEI, a huge Chinese technology company and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC). They are focusing on ultra-luxury cars which is a new brand introduced.
The vehicle was revealed by Huawei in a high-tech exhibition but for now, it is open for pre-order only. The Maextro S800 is the name given to the model and its estimated price is between RMB 1 million ($137,870) and RMB 1.5 million. Reservation and pre-ordering require a minimum deposit of RMB 20,000 as suggested by Richard Yu who is Huawei’s Managing Director.

This vehicle is the first one to be manufactured on Huawei’s second-generation Tuling Intelligent Chassis. The L3 intelligent driving structure is also integrated that includes autonomous functionalities.
In the long-awaited automotive prototype event, a video was revealed showing Maextro’s design along with some disclosing information about it. However, Yu mentioned that the impressive size of the vehicle is around 5.5 meters. It is something that none of the other 99.99% of sedans on the market have.
Maextro’s Positioning
Maextro is the fourth passenger car brand set up by Huawei under its HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) project. It possesses the leadership rank among their partnerships. The other labels that are released in the HIMA name are:

Target Audience and Rivalry
The model Maextro S800 was designed for the high-end business sedan sector. It aims to offer a direct challenge to the highly reputable Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Audi A8, and the newcomer, the Nio ET9.

Luxeed S7
- Introduced in three models which start from a price of RMB 229,800. Deliveries to customers were set for December 1.
- Initially came out in November of 2023. The upgraded model has more comfort, improved performance, and increased intelligence as benefits.
Stelato S9 Ultra Long Range
- New Version starting from RMB 429,800.
- First launched in August 2023, however, they were available in Max and Ultra options previously. Starting at RMB 399,800 and RMB 449,800, respectively.
The above-mentioned developments signify the company’s pursuit of quantitative expansion into electric and luxury vehicle segments. These are blended by cutting-edge technology and royal design.
