Our policies

At Moosa Rent a Car, our car return timings are Saturday 2 Thursday 9: 00 AM To 8:00 PM

General Terms and Conditions

Age restriction

• Minimum 21 years old
• Maximum 70 years old

Concurrent Rentals 

The renter is not allowed to rent more than one car at the same time. If the hirer has an existing active rental, Moosa Rent a Car has the right to refuse the new booking.

Required documents

Provide the following original documents while ranking a car from Moosa. All the documents must be under the hirer’s name. 

• UAE Residents 
• Emirates ID
• UAE driving license
• Credit card  for security deposit
• Physical credit card is required upon car pick-up
• A security deposit between 1000 AED to 5000 AED, depending on the type of vehicle rented. The amount will be deducted  from your credit card

Non-UAE Residents

• Passport & Entry Stamp
• Visa 
• International driving permit
• Valid license from the country of origin passport 
• Credit card with a mini validity of 3 months
• Security deposit between 1000 AED to 5000 AED, depending on the type of vehicle you’re renting

Visitors from the following countries can drive without an international driving license permit.

• GCC Countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain 
• European Countries: Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Sweden, Romania,Serbia, Latvia, Denmark, Lithuania.
• North American Countries: United States of America, Canada 
• East Asian Countries: New Zealand, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan
• African Countries: South Africa 

Security Deposit

Moosa Rent a Car offer two options:

Option 1: with security deposit: you have the option to pay the security deposit by placing it on a credit card or by making a purchase on your debit card. The rental agent should confirm the amount of security block at the time of pickup.

Option 2: no security deposit:  the option is available for UAE residents only for monthly rentals. If you choose this option, a non refundable one time 10% surcharge will be applied. It depends on the total rental amount of the first month.

No security deposit is restricted to some car groups. But you have to know that a credit card is important when selecting no deposit monthly rental.

Driving License Examinations

• Tourists from all below countries are permitted to drive in UAE with their local driving license
• International driving license in another language other than English and Arabic should be translated.
• In case of tourist or visit visa, you have to obtain a UAE driving license.

Booking and Rental

Minimum rental period

• The minimum dental period at Moosa Rent a Car is one day
• Early rental is not allowed
• A rental with less than 24 are duration will be considered at one day rental
• However, an excess rental period less than 24 hours is also consider as additional one day rental
• Types of short term rentals are based on duration on the duration 
• Booking rentals are categories depending on that duration of Rental

Making a booking

The renter can Reserve the booking via folding options:

• Booking online via Moosa Rent a Car official website
• Getting in touch with contact care center
• Visiting Moosa rental desk

The hirer has to present the corresponding paper at the rental counter, if the booking was made through the official website.

The hirer can modify the rental booking if it is done at least 24 hours before the pickup. It will be charged with the corresponding fees.

The total payable amount is recalculated; the rates have changed between dates and original booking. In this case, the later prices will be applied

If the client need to change the credit card detail or other information, there’s need to cancel the existing booking and make a new one

Cancellation

The hirer can cancel their prepaid booking online. Refunds will be applicable to the credit card use on the original prepaid booking within 30 days

Late arrival: If any client makes a free paid booking but fails to arrive at the pick-up location within 2 hours. The vehicles will be provided to availability. The pickup and drop of timings of the vehicle changes.

Rental extension: For rentals booked through the official website, the rental will be renewed by creating a new booking matching their current day time and location.

The website rates at the time of booking will be applied on the rental extension.

If the client fails to do so, you can request for a rental extension. Local rates and policies will be applied.

Early return: There will be no refund for unused car rental days when it started

Fixed monthly rate will be applied between 22 to 30 days only and the car returned will automatically cancel the monthly plan. Daily or weekly charges will be applied.

Late Return: Only one hour of grace period for late return is allowed otherwise rental charges will be applied.

Payment and Fees

Value added text

• Moosa Rent a Car reserves the right to add VAT on all rates and services as implemented by the UAE government. All prices are payable in UAE Dirham. Cash and other major credit cards are accepted as a means of online payment.
• Advance payment is required before collecting the vehicle.
• For bookings made on the website, the credit card used must be presented at the time of vehicle pick-up.
• Vehicle registration fee charges will be applied on all rentals
• If the hirer return the vehicle to any Moosa location other than pick-up, one way fee will be applied
• Toll gate crossing is charged at ( actual price + 25% administration fee)+ VAT
• If the vehicle is impounded, the customer is liable to compensate for both impounding, rental and any other loss .
• The client is responsible for registering the vehicle for paid parking aur all parking charges
• The hirer is required to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel that it was when it was rented. If you fail to do so, locally determinant refueling charges will be applied.

Insurance and Protection

Personal Accident Insurance

If the hired person can purchase the PAI (personal accident insurance) for added security. It provides compensation in unfortunate events, involving the vehicle that resulted in physical injury or death of the occupant. Personal accident insurance does not cover hospitalization.

Additional insurance protection options

You can purchase additional vehicle insurance to reduce the financial liability for damage to Moosa vehicles

It includes Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)

In case of an accident involving the rental vehicle that results in damage, the insurance is based on the result of the police report as well as type of additional vehicle insurance.

Remember that:

• Basic insurance is already included in the rental agreement. The driving license should be at least 12 months old to avail SCDW insurance
• The hirer is responsible to obtain the corresponding police report for vehicle damage
• Personal belongings or luggage are not insured.
• Moosa Rent a Car is not responsible for any belongings left in the car

On The Road

Driving Restrictions

You’re prohibited to use the car under below conditions

• Under the influence of drugs/ alcohol
• Any other activity considered against the UAE laws
• Racing towards other vehicles
• Off-road driving

The vehicle insurance does not cover accidents and damage resulting from any of the above scenarios.

Kilometers limit

limited kilometers is applied on daily and weekly rentals

All monthly rentals are subjected to kilometer limits with extra charges

Value Added Services

• Delivery and collection service is provided upon request. It will be charged accordingly
• A second driver can be added with an additional cost. That driver must also provide the valid documents 
• Child seats for 1-4 year olds are available with extra cost.
• Chauffeur service is available

At Moosa Rent a Car, we’ve complete right to update or change these policies without prior notice. By proceeding with a reservation, it’s important to agree with all the policies outlined above.
